PKK to Attack Turkish Military Convoy

A military convoy, providing security to a vehicle travelling to a dam construction site, was attacked by a group of PKK members, according to a press release of the General Staff.

A press release of Turkey’s General Staff revealed on Wednesday afternoon that a military convoy, providing security to a vehicle travelling to a dam construction site in Silvan district of Diyarbakir province in southeastern Turkey, came under fire of a group of PKK members, and was hit by 15 bullets.

A counter-fire was opened during the attack before the group’s firing stopped, it was stated in the press release. A legal investigation has been launched after the armed attack on the convoy.
