2 pilots were killed when their F-4E 2020 type jet crashed in Konya province of central Turkey

Mustafa Tanış and Mustafa Delikanlı, two army pilots, were killed when their F-4E 2020 type jet crashed in Konya province of central Turkey at 9.50am on Thursday morning during a routine training session about an hour after their departure from the 1st Main Jet Command in Eskisehir province.
The body of one of the pilots was recovered on the crash scene while of the second one was found about 100mt away from the wreckage of the jet.
4 pilots had also been killed on 24 February when two RF-4E/TM type jets crashed in Malatya province in eastern Turkey, increasing the number of pilot casualties to 6 in the last 9 days.
