One of the top members of Gülen Gang Tufan Ergüder had said on 23 July, 2014 on Bugün TV channel that: “Those who want to close up the Selam Tevhid investigation are in cooperation with the nationalists of the past. They act together. There is a national tv channel [referring to the Ulusal TV channel]. It supports the investigations against police officers.”

Ergüder was arrested for being a member to a terrorist organization and sent to Silivri Prison. And now, he has joined to the main opposition CHP to become an MP. It has also turned out that some other Gülen Gang-linked police officers reportedly applied to CHP to run for deputyship in the upcoming general elections.

Former Chief of Anti-Terror Police Department Ertan Erçıktı has also become a CHP member to become the MP of Zonguldak province. Along with some police officers, a number of academicians who are known for being close to Gülen Gang have joined to the CHP, as well.
