PKK Closes its two Camps Due to Heavy Losses Against ISIL

Seperatist terrorist organization PKK was reported to close its two camps located in the borderline between Turkey and northern Iraq due to heavy losses against ISIL in Şenkal and Ayn-al-Arab. PKK also transferred its camp in Cudi to Bestler-Dereler region.

Aydınlık reached to critical information regarding the PKK before upcoming US-led Mosul operation in Iraq. According to information, the PKK is trying to be more active in political-strategic equations in Iraq and Turkey while the world's attention was focused on the Kurdish resolution process maintained with Turkey's ruling party, the AKP. According to Aydınlık's information, the PKK, sending its militants to Kobani and Şenkal with the support of the US and taking a role in the repulse of the ISIL in Mahmur with the air support of the US, lost many of its 'trained militants'. For this reason, the PKK closed two of its camps in northern Iraq while keeping Tuşimya and Anılmış camps. According to informatin, PKK also closed its main camp in Cudi and transferred it to Bestler-Dereler zone.

Barzani does not want the PKK

According to the information, President of the KRG Massoud Barzani does not want the PKK to be involved in the US led Mosul operation. PKK's recent steps on entering Şenkal and Sincar regions under the protection of the US, caused a discomfort in Barzani front. Barzani feels a serious discomfort because of PKK's discourse on founding canton administrations in the region.
