According to the media coverage of the Voice of America (VOA) Turkey provided neither a 'positive' nor a 'negative' respond for the demand of the General Austin regarding the use of US İncirlik base in scope of upcoming Mosul operation. Yıldız Yazıcıoğlu from VOA said, President Erdogan's tendency will set Turkey's final decision. However, Erdogan is not willing to send Turkish soldiers to Mosul before the elections, for the reason it can cause a negative impact in terms of public opinion.

Another important detail from the article is that Turkey wants to negotiate with the US top officials rather than General Lloyd Austin. According to Aydınlık's information based on the military sources, Turkey does not want İncirlik to be used with a purpose out of 'humanitarian aid, logistics and potential supply'. Turkey has a clear negative stance for the use of İncirlik for operational purposes.

According to information the US officials will repeat their demands regarding İncirlik base over John Allen, special representative of the global coalition combatting against the ISIL who is coming to Ankara on 14 March 2015 to have contacts with diplomatic and military circles.
