Turkish Eczacıbaşı VitrA Wins European Volleyball Championship

Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı VitrA has been crowned the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League's winner in Poland on Sunday night.

Having defeated Italy’s Unendo Yamamay 3-0, Turkey’s Eczacıbaşı VitrA won the title of Europe’s champion on Sunday night, 5 April, in the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League in Poland. Eczacıbaşı VitrA beat its Italian rival 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 in the three sets to crown themselves champions.

VakıfBank, another team of Turkey, secured the third place in the tournament by winning against the host country’s Chemik.

Eczacıbaşı VitrA and VakıfBank were congratulated by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Minister of Youth and Sports Akif Çağatay Kılıç after their success.
